There are 10 Simple Steps to Starting a NAME Chapter
1. Select an organizing committee of local NAME members.  Three to five people is an ideal beginning.
2. Contact your Regional Director (see the list above) or NAME at Bette@NAMEorg.org, with your organizing contact information. We will post a notice that you are forming an organizing group on the website and send an email to members in your area who are  in the NAME database.
3. Also you can request an area NAME membership list from the NAME office so you can reach out to people in your area who are NAME members,  and invite them to join your efforts.
4. Invite others to join the organizing chapter. We can provide ideas of the best strategies for local outreach.
5. It is quick and easy for people to join NAME and your chapter  online at www.nameorg.org/membership. During the process, they simply have to select your organizing chapter, when they are prompted to select a chapter.
6. Your group meets and creates your Chapter by-laws. For guidance you can  download the NAME Chapter Bylaws Template
7. Select your founding board of officers
8. To formally initiate your chapter, you need 10 paid members in the NAME database,
9. Submit your membership list, board of officers, and by-laws to NAME National Office,
via email to Bette@NAMEorg.org
10. The NAME Board will vote to charter your chapter. Your NAME Chapter is official!
