“It is one thing to use Sonia’s textbook in my diversity class, but when I accompany the text with the video, her voice and persona allow my students to become personally acquainted with Sonia. My students love the CD. I have also used Geneva Gay’s CD and like Sonia, my students become acquainted with the wonderful scholars they usually only read.”
Theresa Montaño,
Assistant Professor, CSUN Chicana/o Studies
“I have used the Sonia Nieto CD with several classes and in workshops and find it to be truly unique in its capacity to get at the core definition of multicultural education. Dr. Nieto, one of the pioneers and leaders in the field, is able, in a very short period of time, to help students think deeply and differently about the essence of multicultural education. Students always indicate that the detailed and systematic way in which Dr. Nieto describes the essential characteristics of multicultural education is truly helpful. I plan on using this outstanding CD in my classes for years to come.”
