Join Us for the NAME Region V Symposium – Call for Proposals Now Open!

The National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) Region V is thrilled to announce the inaugural Region V Symposium: Building Inclusive Communities through Collaboration and Collective Action, taking place April 9-11, 2025 in Houston, Texas, and online. This unique event invites educators, researchers, and advocates to share their expertise, best practices, and insights on advancing multicultural education.

Symposium Overview:

  • April 9 (Virtual) – Engage in interactive workshops and Speed Learning Sessions.
  • April 10 (In-Person, by invitation) – Graduate students present at the Emerging Scholars Day.
  • April 11 (In-Person) – Participate in roundtable discussions at the Holocaust Museum of Texas, Houston.

We welcome proposals for various presentation formats, including Speed Learning, Interactive Workshops, Graduate Poster Sessions, and Roundtable Discussions. Together, we will explore impactful ways to foster inclusive communities and drive positive change.

Important Dates:

  • Proposal Submission Deadline: January 31, 2025
  • Notification of Acceptance: February 14, 2025
  • Registration Deadlines: March 28 (In-Person), April 4 (Virtual)
